MilkBaby Calendar 1.0.2: Care Records for Supplements, Medicine, Vaccines and Temperature
MilkBaby Calendar 1.0.2 adds four care records: supplements, medicine, vaccines and temperature, all on the same timeline as feeding, sleep and diapers. Home quick-action buttons are now customizable, family sync names who did what, and reminder permission is requested after your first record. Here is everything that changed.

Care records: supplements, medicine, vaccines and temperature
Vitamin D, supplements, medicine, vaccines and temperature readings sit on the same timeline as feeding, sleep and diaper records.
- Supplements and medicine: log the name and the amount, with units such as drops, milliliters or tablets
- Vaccines: log the vaccine name, and optionally the dose number, manufacturer and injection site such as left upper arm or left thigh
- Temperature: log the value and the measurement site (armpit, ear, forehead, oral or rectal)
The overview shows the latest value, and the weekly summary puts the new record types alongside milk volume and sleep trends.
Why the records share one timeline
On its own, “milk intake was down today” might just be a normal appetite dip. Put it next to “vaccine at 9 a.m.” and “temperature 37.9 °C at noon,” and the picture becomes clear. A record’s value is often in how the numbers relate to each other.
The measurement site matters a lot when reading a temperature. Rectal temperature is closest to core body temperature and the most accurate, while axillary readings usually run lower (MSD Manual: how to take a child’s temperature). That is why every temperature record can hold both the value and the site, so readings from different people at different times stay comparable.
To put these records to work, two guides go deeper: what to log before a pediatrician visit, and how to export your baby’s records.
Customizable home buttons
Common actions such as a one-tap vitamin D entry or a medicine confirmation can be reordered, added, removed or hidden in Settings. When you are holding the baby with one arm, every tap you save helps. In a dim room after a feed, that is often what decides whether a record gets logged at all.
Two improvements to family sync
The timeline still updates in real time on every device when a family member creates, edits or ends a record. Two things changed:
- When someone else ends a sleep or nursing session, the push names the person who did it, instead of a vague “a record was updated.”
- Read-only members can request reminder permission, so they no longer miss every reminder.
Both matter in multi-generational households or families with a nanny: who gave the medicine, who ended the night feed, all visible on the timeline.
Reminder permission now comes after your first record
The app asks for notification permission after you successfully create your first record, once per install. Members who join a family group, or who open the app while already in one, get the same request, so the setup flow is never interrupted. Declining is fine: you can turn reminders on later in system settings or inside the app, and everything defaults to on once permission is granted.
Everyday performance improvements
This release tightens several details you touch daily: pull-to-refresh fires on finger lift, photo preview no longer fights with zoom, the family card paints straight from the disk cache without a loading flash, and clock changes no longer rebuild the whole home screen. Each one is small; together they make daily logging feel smoother.
How to update
- iOS: open the App Store and update to version 1.0.2.
- Cost and data: the update is free, and no record is touched. All historical data remains intact.
- Tip: update over Wi-Fi, then open the app to confirm the home screen and family group display normally.
